Can anyone tell me how the 'levels' work within a rubric? It is in the row editing box when creating a rubric.
Thanks

Hello Megan,
That is an additional field used only for reference in the gradebook's formulas. It still is a work in progress.

Assigning a level will let you select specific rows in a rubric that match a certain level.
Here is an image. We've assigned Level A to a row in our rubric and this same Level A is shown when working the formulas.

Hi Bert
Thanks for replying. How did you get to the second image? Can you calculate a grade from the levels only? So I have set up my levels as my syllabus outcomes, and these outcomes may be addressed within a few assessments/rubrics (ie a row in multiple rubrics). Id like to be able to calculate a score/grade that extracts results from multiple rubrics relating to that outcome/level for reporting purposes. Does this sound possible?
Thanks

Yes, it is possible but may be cumbersome to configure if you work with lots of rubrics.
The second screen is the formula configurator: Add column > Calculation > Formula

You can work with levels from this screen. More details on formulas here
