setting default calculations was created by BethJahn
Is there a way to set a default calculation. I almost always use the same set up for calculations at the end of the week. I have 18 classes and have to set each one up individually. Is there a way to set it with my preferences so that I can just choose that one each time and don't have to set it up individually for each class?

Or is there a way to copy it to classes? I haven't been successful trying to do that. I copy other columns all the time, but it doesn't seem to work to copy the calculations columns.

Hi,
I'm afraid it isn't possible to copy calculations between classes. The columns the calculation is referring to do not exist in the target class.

If you are using categories and copy the whole category (long tap category header > Copy) to a different class it will keep the calculation since it transfer the main header and its subcolumns.

It's not the actual calculation that is a problem. It's all the set up. I have to click add calculation, click addition, choose percentage over total addition, enter the number into initial value per cell, choose column, enter the the column header, choose grade type. It's about seven steps before I can even choose the columns to calculate and I have to do that every week for 18 classes. I'd love to be able to set the type of calculation I do and then all I'd have to do is tell it which columns to calculate. Does that make sense?

Long tap on your calculation > Copy > Select the target class.
On the target class, double tap on the header > Editor > Erase content and convert to calculation > Addition.
You will have to select the columns but the rest of parameters should still be there
