Hi

I would like to compare two cells in gradebook, and either give a value or have some sort of conditional formatting. It may be easier if I explain how I achieve this in excel:

My students have a Target grade. Every time they sit a test, I have a vlookup formula that takes their target grade, assigns it a numerical value, then I use a vlookup to get a numerical value for their latest test grade, subtract one from the other. If the result is either -1 or -2 (i.e. they are achieving their target or beating it) the cell turns green, if it is below zero (ie they are not yet hitting their target, it turns orange) if the result is -3 (ie they are way off their target) it turns red.

Is it possibly to achieve this in idoceo?

I would be happy if it just gives me the numerical answer of the calculation, that way I can set those as grade types and colour them accordingly.

I've attached my excel version so you have an idea.

Please help!

Hello dunkymunky,

In the current version of iDoceo, you can configure this but in a somewhat hacky manner.
Find attached below a sample which will give you an idea on how it's set up, 'Open In' iDoceo and type 1111 as its password.

However, we're now working on our next update, iDoceo 3.1 which will make this task a lot easier. It will soon be available, I'd say in about 2 weeks ( here the details )

And here a screenshot of the new comparison and ranking features. Instead of those arrows, you'll be able to choose colors instead (red below, amber on target, green above)

PS: Don't worry about that Excel, the forum won't let you attach that file!
