idoceo connect needs Google account? was created by pauhana658
I used idoceo connect last year to give an online makeup exam. It worked fine. Tried to use the same test this year, but idoceo now wants a google account before I can publish the test. Did something change? Can I use my private google account (not attached to a university) or must I use an account associated with a specific university? And do my students now need a google account to take the test? That will complicate matters tremendously, as this particular university uses Microsoft, not Google, for student accounts.

Hello pauhana658,
You need a google account (in iDoceo's cloud links) to access as a teacher in iDoceo Connect
A private account will do, no need to have any kind of link with your university.
Your students may access with a Google or Microsoft account in iDoceo Connect. It does not need any kind of relation with your Google account.
The most important point is that this Google/Microsoft account is assigned in your iDoceo, in each student's personal data sheet, under the e-mail field.

Thanks! Yep, I could use my private google account and students needn't enter a google account to take the test. Apparently, at some point in the past, my google account was unlinked in idoceo. I simply re-linked them, and everything worked again. Again, thanks!
