Problems totalling & calculating grade was created by Paulamarie
Hi, I am trying to add the sum of three separate parts of a test together to work out a final grade (out of 100). Test 1 is /20, Test 2 and 3 are both /40. I then want to have a total column out of 100 which is automatically calculated for me. From this final result I have worked out my grade boundaries. I can't seem to be able to calculate a total and then use that total to work out the grades. I can either do one or the other. If I add my total column manually and then use this result, it calculates my grade correctly. However, it doesn't work the grade out correctly if I try both together.

Hi Paulamarie,
Meanwhile I'll take a wild guess ... you should check that all your separate test parts and its total have the same grade type, in your case from 0 to 100.
The total calculation must have each part as 100% ,you have an add all button which will set the 100% value automatically for you

:P
You were right about them not totalling 100 for each separate part of test. I edited that part and it works correctly now. Thank you so much!
