Hi,

Is there anyway to get the calculator to ignore blank cells? For example whenever I do a test I always have 3 columns - 1 for raw mark (always out of 40, I have a numeric grade out of 40 set up for this), then a column to calculate a percentage from this first column (again, I have a numeric grade out of 100 set up for this) then a third column to give a text grade based on the percentage. For each column I have it set up to show an average line. The problem is that if I have a student who has missed a class then they have a blank cell in the raw data column. This then translates to 0/100 and then gives an F. This isnt the end of the world except for the fact that this then throws out the average on the average line. So is there any way of getting the calculations to leave it as blank rather than 0 when calculating percentage and grade?

Also, is there any way to merge a title across all 3 columns? So I tend to write the title for the test as the column header, and then use the column subheader to indicate what that particular column is showing. This means that I end up writing the column heading 3 times. Is it possible to merge the header across all 3 columns? If not could this be possible in the next release?

Lastly is there any way of inserting a blank template of columns? By which I mean, every time I do a test at GCSE I always use the same 3 types of column, calculation settings and grading options and at A level I always use the same combination of 5 columns with associated settings. Is there any way that it could be possible to to insert a template ready put test data into so you dont have to do it column by column?

Thanks,
Dave

Hi Dave,

To ignore blank cells you must first enable the 'Skip empty cells' option. Here a screenshot
It isn't possible in the current version to merge titles but it is in our to-dos list . I'm not sure if it will make it for our next update though , the list of new features is huge and merging titles hans't the highest priority . We'll get there.

Templates are not possible in this version either, but its will be implemented for sure in our next update, it is set higher on that features list !. You'll be able to create, share and use templates at will.

Hope that helped somehow ...

Kind regards,
