The icon counter will count the icons in each row.
You just have to decide which icons to count and if you want to show the quantity or its associated value, if there is any.
By default, the icon counter takes into account all the columns of the current tab, including the hidden ones.
However, you can choose which columns to take into account: all, the ones in the current folder and the ones in the current folder plus its subfolders.

Add an icon counter
You can add an icon counter from: Add Column > Add Calculation > icon counter
If you want to use a folder instead, then: Add column > Category - Folder > Calculations > icon counter
