Report export XLS not working fully was created by james.me.robinson
Hi Bert,
I'm trying to export my text annotations as an XLS file but none of the text comes up on the Excel spreadsheet. I've ticked include annotations and also tried the save cell as text.
Is there something else I should be doing?
James

Hi James,
I've just recorded this, give it a look and let me know if you spot the difference.
The video shows both Numbers and Excel

Hi Bert,
It seems to be the XLSX option that means the comments don't come up on the spreadsheet, but it works when this option isn't ticked.
Is there a way to get these annotations exporting as text so that I can mail merge into a printable format? I want to be able to get the whole class' annotations into a table so that I can cut them out and stick into books rather than having a separate page per student.

Use the CSV export instead. It will create an additional column with the annotations next to each actual column in the gradebook

Hi Bert,
The CSV file thing does exactly what I need it to, apart from the formatting (such as bullet points or line breaks) doesn't come out on the CSV. Is there a setting that would mean the formatting would be transferred?
What is the difference between CSV1, SCV2 and CSV3 on the options?
