It would be great if we could have the ability to set up an automatic backup to a cloud service like Google Drive. Currently I can export my data, but I'd like to have it set to back up at a scheduled time.

Thanks mrjarbenne. There are some legal restrictions that prevent us from implementing that feature but we have it in mind.

Any further progress on this idea? I'm curious about the legal ramifications? School boards sign off on the cloud storage they offer staff members (Google Apps for Edu, Microsoft/OneDrive Education Edition) so the onus on cloud storage solutions where student data is concerned should rest on the school board. Given we are already using these solutions to back-up data, that train has already left the station. Maybe it's something else.
Apps like Explain Everything already offer the ability to store and retrieve content from the cloud.
This is a major stumbling block in our continued adoption of this app (although as a school board we have already purchased hundreds of copies, and would love to push this as the standard means of collecting assessment data in class). Classrooms that fully embrace the multimedia capabilities of iDoceo are at a disadvantage because their storage needs exceed the capacity of the device far more quickly, leading to more rudimentary text-based usage.

We'll try to work on that after this upcoming 4.5 release.
Unfortunately, almost all of our efforts are lost patching compatibility issues with Apple's yearly iOS updates.
